St Albans Symphony Orchestra is holding a family concert to introduce orchestral music to a younger audience.

The concert is themed around 'outdoor adventures' and will take place at St Paul's Church in Blandford Road on Saturday, November 9.

Two performances will take place at 2pm and at 3pm, each with an interval, and doors open at 1.30pm.

Extracts will be performed from Ravel's Mother Goose Suite, Bizet's L'Arlesienne Suite No.2, Beethoven's Symphony No.6, Moberg's Sunrise Orchestral Suite and Kristen Anderson-Lopez's music from Frozen.

Each piece will be introduced by conductor Bill Carslake.

Tickets are available from https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/booking/select/RdiEJKhzXNnT or by calling 07753 742543.

Tickets cost £8 for adults, £2 for children or free for children under the age of two.

During the interval, audience members will be invited to mingle with the orchestra and try out some of the instruments - at their owners' discretion.
