A man in his 60s has been assaulted by a bike rider in St Albans, sparking a police appeal.

Herts police have released images of someone they want to identify following the assault.

The incident happened at around 2.25pm on Tuesday, October 29.

It is reported that the victim, a man aged in 60s, was driving along Kings Road when he was approached by another man riding a blue Carrera mountain bike.

The suspect then kicked the car door before assaulting the victim.

Sergeant Lee Hammond, who is investigating, said: “Our enquiries are continuing, and I am asking for anyone with information to please get in touch."

A man who police believe was in the area at the time has been identified as part of the investigation.
