Ten staff members at a St Albans primary school took time off from whiteboards and storytelling when they won a team-building day at an extreme sports facility.
St John Fisher teaching assistant Hannah Pugh won the team-building day at XC in Hemel Hempstead in a competition organised by a local radio station - but she did not tell her workmates she had entered until she learned they had won.
The day involved high ropes, a climbing wall and caving and at lunchtime, the team were presented with goodies including a box of Krispy Creme donuts, sunglasses, mugs and balloons.
Hannah said: “I was so shocked that we won and everyone was so pleased and really excited.”
St John Fisher is a Catholic primary school in Hazelmere Drive, St Albans. Hannah added: “We have a very close knit team and work together for the benefit of all the children in our school.”
