Harpenden Common Golf Club have once again been crowned Division One champions of the Hertfordshire Men’s Scratch Team League.
It makes it a hat-trick of wins after starting the sequence in 2021. They first won the top prize in 2012 and have won it five times in total now.
This title was won at Harpenden (Hammonds End) when Common beat the home team by 6.5 points to 5.5.
The squads had been tied after the morning foursome’s but the eight singles matches in the afternoon were just tipped in the visitors' favour.
The Scratch Team League is the county's premier golf club competition and is held every year.
Team captain Ryan Hodges said: "I'm super proud of the lads to have won the top league three years in a row.
"I would like to say a massive thank you to everybody who came out to support us."
A clubs spokesman added: "We are very proud of the achievement as the win demonstrated the amazing strength in depth that is required to have a strong team for every match against the top golf clubs in the county."
