Harpenden have got at least one hand on the Herts Cricket League Premier Division title after victory over Radlett.
The four-wicket success means they maintain their 38-point lead over second-placed Potters Bar, winners themselves against North Mymms.
And two wins from their final three games would bring the title to the Common.
This success saw the champions-elect put Radlett into bat and then promptly play havoc with their top order.
Jayden Broodryk's 15 was the only score from the first four batsmen in double figures and it needed 37 in 89 deliveries from David Burnell to stem the bleeding.
Late resistance from Suhaan Shovakar (33) and Tom Fielden (37), the pair putting on 38 for the eighth wicket also played its part as Radlett got up to 197.
Ben Frazer led the Harpenden bowling with 3-37 but it was a captain's innings from James Latham that truly brought maximum points.
The opener bagged a wonderful 82 in 122 deliveries, a knock that included eight fours, as he ignored the problems at the other end of the wicket.
Only Olly Batchelor (23) and Frazer (41) could stay with him long enough, the first pairing making 59 for the third wicket while the second put on 56 for the fifth.
Latham was eventually sixth man down in the 40th over but by then, Harpenden were just seven runs from victory.
Shenley Village are producing wonderful form at the perfect time of the season.
Their four-wicket win over Hertford was a third in a row and has catapulted them up to eighth in the table, now 16 points above Bishop's Stortford and a relegation play-off and a further 28 above rock-bottom Old Owens, ironically the last team to beat them.
Matt Stear took 3-50 as Hertford were bowled out for 131 but it was 109 in 100 balls from Charles Thurston that sealed the victory, wrapping up the win in the 36th over.
St Albans' stay in the Championship is all but over after they found leaders Flitwick far too strong.
Saints are second from bottom still and trail Dunstable Town by 51 points, with only a maximum of 75 available.
Flitwick are definitely bound for the top flight, needing just five points in the final three games to seal the title.
Rhys Mariu hit an unbeaten 147 in 115 balls as they got to 305-5 in their 50 overs, Max Capaldi getting 2-75 for St Albans.
With the bat, the visitors were all out for 122 with a top score of 34 not out from Barnaby Fitch.
Redbourn were beaten by 21 runs at Leverstock Green in Division One.
They are still in contention for a promotion place though even in fifth spot, as they are just eight points behind Levy Green in second.
Harry Cobb did a sensational job of trying to steer them to victory, smashing an incredible 173 in just 126 deliveries, bagging 18 fours and nine sixes along the way.
He was eventually out in the 43rd over with Redbourn on 267-7 and they got to eight balls from the end of their 50 overs before running out of batsmen.
