Harpenden Town's first appearance in the hat for the FA Cup second qualifying round draw has brought them a potentially money-spinning home tie.
Harps were playing in the first qualifying round on Saturday, and scored a memorable 0-0 draw at home to St Ives Town, in front of a crowd of 431.
The replay takes place tonight (Monday) at Westwood Road, home of the Southern League Premier Division Central side, two divisions higher than Harpenden's Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division.
And the winner will be at home to Berkhamsted, 2-0 winners over Hitchin Town in the last round.
For St Albans City, the FA Cup will hopefully provide some solace from their horrendous opening to the National League South season, just one draw from their six games so far.
Their draw is not an easy one though, sending them away to National League North Needham Market.
The Suffolk side have also had a difficult start to their first season at step two, with one win and one draw from six games, but they were are still riding the crest of a wave, having been champions of the Southern League Premier Division Central last time out.
They were beaten in a fourth qualifying round replay at home to York City last year but reached the first round proper in the 2022-2023 season, where they lost 2-0 away at Burton Albion.
All second qualifying round ties will take place over the weekend of Saturday, September 14.
